This tzatziki sauce uses only 5 ingredients and takes 5 minutes. Traditionally served with lamb it’s a cool and refreshing dipping sauce at So Damn Delish!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 English cucumber, peeled and deseeded
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a food processor or blender. Pulse until thoroughly combined. Chill for 1 hour before serving. 

WAYS TO USE TZATZIKI SAUCE

  1. On any type of gyro or pita wrap
  2. Sauce for meat: chicken, beef, lamb, pork
  3. Sauce for fish
  4. Topping for baked potato
  5. On any sandwich or burger
  6. Salad dressing
  7. As a dip: with bread, pitas, veggies, and/or chips

Notes

  1. Use Pre-Grated Ingredients: Purchase pre-grated cucumbers or garlic paste to save time.
  2. Select Plain Greek Yogurt: Greek yogurt is thicker and creamier, which helps achieve the right texture without extra straining.
  3. Prepare in Bulk: Make a larger batch and store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, so it’s ready whenever you need it.
  4. Chill Before Serving: If time permits, allow the sauce to chill for a few minutes before serving to let the flavors meld together.
