Refresh with a Hugo Spritz! So Damn Delish‘s recipe for this trendy Italian cocktail blends elderflower, prosecco, and mint for a bubbly, floral delight.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 ounce elderflower liqueur, such as St-Germain
  • 1 sprig mint, plus 2–3 sprigs for garnish
  • 4 ounces Prosecco, chilled
  • 1 ounce seltzer, chilled
  • Lemon wheel, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Remove the leaves from one mint sprig. Lightly smack the leaves in your palm to release the oils, then transfer to a chilled white wine glass.
  2. Fill the glass with ice and then pour in the St. Germain, cooled Prosecco, and seltzer. Stir briefly to mix.
  3. Garnish the glass with a lemon wheel and 2-3 more mint sprigs.

Notes

  • The Hugo Spritz is offered as an aperitif. Aperitifs are intended to be offered before a meal to assist increase your appetite (but without overfilling you!) They have a lower alcohol content and are less sweet.
