- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- Vegetable oil for cooking
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, and cornstarch.
- Add chicken to the marinade and toss to coat. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side.
- Add the remaining marinade to the skillet and bring to a simmer. Cook until sauce has thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
- Serve the chicken over rice or noodles, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinade. 🔥
- Use chicken breasts instead of thighs for a leaner option.
