These puff pastry turnovers are so incredibly easy to make! All you need is puff pastry sheets and a can of any flavor of pie filling and you got yourself some deliciously scrumptious puff pastry turnovers. Winning!
Ingredients
For The Turnovers:
- 2 puff pastry sheets (1 box)
- 1 can of pie filling (any flavor)
- 1 egg
- 1 Tablespoon water
For The Icing (Optional):
- 1 cup confectioners (powdered) sugar
- 2 Tablespoons milk
Instructions
For The Turnovers:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Thaw puff pastry sheets according to package directions. When thawed lay each square out on a lightly floured surface. Using a knife (or pizza cutter) cut each sheet into four squares to make 8 turnovers.
- Scoop 1-2 Tablespoons per filling onto the center of each square. Fold to form a triangle. Repeat until all turnovers are filled. Seal the edges of each turnover together with the back of a fork. Place on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Add egg and water to a small bowl. Whisk with a fork to combine. Brush egg wash on top of all turnovers.
