Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Pickle slices
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Butter
  • Ingredients of Chick-fil-A sauce (honey, mustard, BBQ sauce, mayo)

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
  2. Combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Dredge chicken in flour mixture and fry in hot oil for 4-5 minutes per side.
  4. Toast buns with butter.
  5. Assemble sandwiches with pickle slices, fried chicken, and any extra condiments.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less cayenne pepper to suit your taste. 
  • For a fun twist, try adding some shredded lettuce or a slice of cheese!
