On this hump-day we bring you…
This gorgeous fruit candy that we like to call our green berry smoothie.
I guess you can say that the fam and I have been on a blueberry kick. Like holy cow, we’ve taken it from blueberry muffins, to blueberry crisp, this green berry smoothie, and we’ve been topping everything (like yogurt) with fresh blueberries.
What It Takes to Have Your Blender Meet Its Sweet Green Berry Smoothie Fate:
- Blueberries
- Rasberries
- Greens (spinach, kale, or the like- we used baby blend of kale/spinach)
- Banana
- Milk (almond, coconut, regular- we used coconut)
- Ice
- Flax Seed
- Honey (optional)
➡ Note– if you don’t have one of the ingredients above that’s ok! You can omit and/or sub any of the above and you can still make an AMAZE smoothie.
Kiddos love making these too, at least ours do. Molli, Jax, and Nanette Lorraine love these smoothies! They help make them by measuring out the ingredients (great thing about a smoothie is measurements don’t have to be exact!). See the great job that they did ???
Especially for being 2, 5, and 11. That’s what I call a #momwin.
After fighting for 1.7 seconds about who would “dump” all of the ingredients into the blender we made a deal- each kiddo would take turns. And so they did…
So, let’s recap what we have so far: measure your ingredients (or estimate) and dump then into your blender.
Real food is nature’s beauty. It’s so GORG!
Reasons to Make This Green Berry Smoothie a Priority in Your Life:
- It’s loaded with antioxidants.
- Vitamin C (natural, not synthetic).
- Protein (greens and flax seed).
- Omega 3’s.
- Fiber
- Magnesium, manganese, & other vitamins and minerals.
After everything is all up in your blender you are going to blend for about 30 seconds. Then the most gorgeous smoothie appears. It’s pretty magnificent and something you need to experience at least once in your life.
The kids and I were competing by doing super hero moves over how much we all got to drink before, prior, and after photographing the green berry smoothies.
Jaxson won with his power ranger moves. Guess I need to freshen up on my superhero superpower mom-moves. ;)
